Are you looking for a role where you can own hardware development from concept through production? Do you enjoy solving complex mechanical, manufacturing, and scaling challenges in a fast-moving environment? Would you like to help shape the future of Spatial AI and robotics products?

A well-funded Spatial AI startup is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team in Oxford. The business is an Oxford-based robotics spin-out backed by approximately £4m in Seed funding and is preparing for its next stage of growth. Their products combine LiDAR, computer vision, and advanced positioning technologies to deliver real-time spatial intelligence solutions. This is an opportunity to join early, take ownership of core hardware development, and play a key role in scaling a cutting-edge technology platform.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
