Are you an experienced mechanical engineer looking to play a critical role in one of Europe's largest clean energy projects? Our client is seeking a Mechanical/Valve Engineer to support the Hinkley Point C nuclear new build project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Authority: Provide expert engineering support and guidance for industrial valves across the full project lifecycle.
  • Design & Compliance: Review supplier documentation, assess design modifications, and ensure all work strictly complies with rigorous nuclear industry requirements and project standards.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve technical challenges efficiently to keep project milestones on track.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary technical focal point, bridging communication between the construction site, design teams, suppliers, and the client.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead technical discussions and manage complex organizational interfaces to maintain high standards of safety and quality.

Education

  • A degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or a related engineering discipline.

Sector Experience

  • Proven background in industrial valve engineering within highly regulated sectors (e.g., nuclear, energy, defence, oil & gas, or power generation).

Technical Strengths

  • Familiarity with valve design, qualification, supplier management, and nuclear standards or construction support.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.

Languages

  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in French is a strong advantage.
