Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE

Location: Surrey, UK

Job Type: Permanent

I'm currently partnering with a respected Building Services consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its growing Surrey team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer to take ownership of a diverse range of projects, working closely with clients, leading designs, and supporting the development of junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical design and delivery of building services projects from concept through to completion.
  • Prepare and review technical calculations, specifications, reports, and design documentation.
  • Attend client and design team meetings, providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to repeat business and new project opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
