Senior Mechanical Estimator
Central London (Gherkin Head Office)
TClarke – Tier 1 MEP Contractor
TClarke is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team, based from our Central London head office.
As a leading specialist MEP contractor, TClarke delivers complex mechanical and electrical solutions across the Data Centre, Commercial, Life Sciences, Healthcare and Infrastructure sectors, working on some of the UK’s most prestigious and technically challenging projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join a growing team and play a key role in securing and delivering major projects, with mechanical packages above £50m.
The Role
Reporting into the Pre-Construction Director, you will be responsible for managing mechanical estimating activities from initial enquiry through to tender submission, ensuring accurate, competitive and commercially viable proposals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing detailed mechanical estimates, tenders and cost plans
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Producing accurate material, labour and subcontractor cost assessments
- Managing the tender process and coordinating with internal design and commercial teams
- Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors
- Identifying opportunities, risks and value engineering solutions
- Supporting junior estimators and contributing to continuous improvement within the estimating function

About You
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Estimator with:
- Proven experience within a specialist MEP contractor environment
- Strong mechanical estimating background across commercial, data centre, life science or critical infrastructure projects
- Experience pricing complex mechanical packages from £10m+
- Excellent understanding of mechanical systems, specifications and construction methodologies
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
