Fabri Consulting Engineers is a specialist engineering firm focused on the downstream oil sector, providing technical expertise to complex down stream oil and gas / aviation sectors. The team is composed of experienced professional engineers who deliver practical, safety-focused solutions to clients across the industry. Working closely with operators and asset owners, the company supports reliability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance in oil and gas storage and distribution terminals.

Role Description
The Senior Mechanical / Process Engineer (Staff) will be a full-time, on-site role based in Glasgow City, supporting engineering projects within the downstream oil industry. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Developing and reviewing mechanical and process designs
- Performing calculations
- Preparing technical documentation and reports
- Overseeing equipment selection, inspection, and maintenance strategies
- Ensuring systems meet safety, reliability, and regulatory standards
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Providing technical guidance to colleagues
- Contributing to project planning, risk assessments, and problem-solving for operational issues
- Participating in client meetings, site visits, and design reviews to ensure stakeholder requirements are effectively addressed

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with proven experience in process or industrial environments.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for mechanical and process system design and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices relevant to the downstream oil sector.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering codes, and to prepare clear technical reports.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and with clients.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering staff and contributing to project delivery is highly beneficial.
