Senior Mechanical Project Engineer
We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Kier Mechanical & Electrical team based on a large scale project in the Custodial sector.
Location: Shaftesbury, Dorset
Hours: Full time, Permanent - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be working within the Kier Mechanical & Electrical team, supporting them in delivering effective mechanical project engineering services to ensure projects are fully compliant, on budget and on time. Your day to day will include:
- Reviewing designs with design teams and clients to ensure they are optimised for efficient and safe construction
- Managing robust change control processes and overseeing risk and opportunity
- Implementing and managing quality control procedures in line with Kier Standards
- Providing leadership and guidance to project team members, setting clear expectations and offering feedback
- Ensuring all works are procured, planned and carried out safely in accordance with Kier standards and UK law

This role of Senior Mechanical Engineer is great for you if:
- You are technically skilled in Mechanical Services and Safety
- You have CSCS and SMSTS accreditation
- You have demonstrable experience in managing project engineering services
- You can work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively
- You are confident in managing budgets, commercial priorities and making sound decisions
