Senior Media Engineer – Post-Production Support & Deployment

Location: London – Hybrid
Contract: 12 months
Working pattern: Full-time, with occasional evening, weekend and out-of-hours support required
Pay: £352 per day PAYE

The Opportunity

We are supporting a leading global entertainment and streaming organisation in the search for an experienced Senior Media Engineer to join its Live Production Editorial Support team.

This role will support advanced in-house post-production services used across film, episodic and live content. You will work closely with productions, editorial teams, product specialists and engineers to ensure that media workflows operate smoothly, technical issues are resolved quickly and creative teams can remain focused on delivering exceptional content.

The successful candidate will combine strong post-production knowledge with hands-on technical troubleshooting, excellent client service and the ability to remain calm in fast-moving production environments.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support and Troubleshooting

  • Provide high-quality technical and operational support to production, editorial and post-production users.
  • Investigate and resolve issues affecting media workflows, file transfers, editorial tools and post-production services.
  • Take a user-focused approach to troubleshooting, ensuring that solutions address the wider production need rather than only the immediate technical issue.
  • Escalate complex incidents appropriately and work with technical teams through to resolution.
  • Support production teams across different regions and time zones.

Monitoring and Operational Management

  • Monitor automated media file transfers, system health and workflow activity through central operational dashboards.
  • Proactively identify potential technical issues before they impact productions.
  • Investigate failed or delayed transfers and coordinate remediation.
  • Maintain clear records of incidents, recurring issues and operational trends.
  • Help improve processes, documentation and troubleshooting procedures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
