Senior Manager, Corporate Media Relations - Financial Services

London - hybrid working

Delighted to be partnering with a highly reputable, leading financial services organisation on the appointment of a Senior Manager, Corporate Media Relations.

This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished media relations professional to join a high-profile communications team, helping to shape external narratives, protect corporate reputation, and support senior leadership on strategic communications activity.

The Role

You will develop and deliver proactive media relations strategies, manage high-impact communications programmes, and play a key role in issues and reputation management. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will help drive consistent and compelling messaging while building strong relationships with key media contacts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic media relations and external communications programmes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with national, trade and broadcast media.
  • Manage proactive media engagement and corporate storytelling opportunities.
  • Support reputation management, issues management and crisis communications activity.
  • Advise and prepare senior leaders for media engagement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver aligned communications strategies.

About You

  • Significant media relations and PR experience gained within a large listed organisation.
  • Experience operating at a corporate, group or enterprise-wide level.
  • Strong relationships across business desks within the national press and relevant trade media.
  • Demonstrated expertise in reputation management and crisis communications.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience within financial services or another highly regulated sector is highly desirable.
