Join our Medical Kit Department (Loans) as a Senior Medical Kit Associate
Take a key leadership role in supporting life-changing orthopaedic surgery across the UK. You’ll supervise and develop the team and manage the movement of implants and instrument sets.
In this fast-paced operational role, you’ll coordinate inbound and outbound medical kit movements to hospitals and surgeons, ensuring accurate systems processing, uphold quality and safety standards, and keep our customers informed. You’ll champion 5S, support continuous improvement, and ensure stock is stored, managed, and distributed through internal systems in a timely and cost-effective manner, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Salary
£28,000 - £31,000
Responsibilities
As a Senior Medical Kit Associate you will:
- Coordinating the movement of instrument kits using Webops and Sage.
- Managing incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure excellent customer service.
- Prioritising urgent same-day requests and making informed decisions to meet customer needs.
- Supporting, coaching, and developing the team.
- Acting as the first point of contact for team escalations and problem-solving.
- Maintaining strong relationships across departments and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards are followed and kept up to date.

Requirements
The ideal Senior Medical Kit Associate will have/be:
- Experience in orthopaedics, medical devices, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals is advantageous.
- Experience of mentoring, training, and supporting others.
- Communicates clearly and works confidently under pressure.
- Is confident with Excel and internal systems.
- Keeps calm, organised, and is solutions-focused in a busy environment.
- Is confident making quick decisions under pressure and knows when to escalate.
- Excellent knowledge and practice of good manual handling practices.
Please note, a Hepatitis B vaccination is mandatory for this position, and our Occupational Health team will provide this for you.
