About the Role
We are working with an innovative organisation seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison to join its UK Medical Affairs team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an MSL with experience in rare diseases or complex therapeutic areas to build trusted scientific relationships with healthcare professionals, contribute to regional Medical Affairs strategy, and act as a credible scientific partner across the healthcare community.
The Opportunity
In this field-based role, you will engage with healthcare professionals, thought leaders, patient organisations, and internal stakeholders to provide balanced, accurate, and scientifically robust information. You will contribute to Medical Affairs activities across the UK, support clinical initiatives, attend scientific meetings and congresses, and provide valuable field insights to inform medical and strategic planning.
You may also support appropriately defined product-related education alongside commercial colleagues. Any promotional activity will be clearly separated from the non-promotional responsibilities of the MSL role and conducted in line with the ABPI Code and relevant training.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
