Be part of the science shaping the future of cancer care

At Ashfield MedComms, we believe great medical communications can help transform scientific advances into meaningful improvements for patients.

We're looking for a scientifically curious Senior Medical Writer to join an established publications account supporting a growing portfolio of solid tumour therapies.

This is an exciting time to join the team. One of the products in the portfolio has recently received approval.

You will be part of a portfolio at a genuinely important stage of development. You will work on potentially practice-changing medicines while learning from an experienced team of medical communications experts.

As a Senior Medical Writer, you'll contribute within the publications team, communicating emerging and established clinical evidence to the scientific and medical community.

Reporting to a Scientific Team Director, you'll work with experienced scientific and account colleagues. You'll also collaborate with clients and external experts to develop high-quality publications and strategic materials.

You will:

  • Develop abstracts, manuscripts and posters for scientific and medical audiences.
  • Create publication enhancements and other scientific communications.
  • Contribute to publication strategy and developing publication plans.
  • Support gap analyses to identify opportunities within the evidence landscape.
  • Develop lexicons and other strategic scientific resources.
  • Research, interpret and critically evaluating scientific and clinical data.
  • Work with authors, KOLs, clients and our teams throughout the content development process.
  • Contribute scientific and strategic thinking to the wider account.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of scientific and editorial quality.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
