In our team you will learn:

As a Senior Medical Writer you will:

  • Develop high-quality scientific and medical content across a wide range of therapeutic areas, audiences and communication channels.
  • Translate complex scientific data and clinical evidence into clear, accurate and engaging content that meets both audience and client needs.
  • Take ownership of content workstreams, ensuring scientific excellence, editorial quality and consistent delivery across programmes.
  • Partner with clients and internal teams to understand scientific objectives and help shape content approaches that maximise impact.
  • Act as a trusted scientific contributor within multidisciplinary teams, bringing together scientific understanding with strategic, creative and engagement thinking.
  • Lead the development of scientific narratives and content frameworks that create consistency and clarity across programmes.
  • Apply critical thinking to evaluate evidence, identify key insights and ensure scientific accuracy and balance in all deliverables.
  • Review and provide guidance on content developed by other writers, helping to maintain the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  • Mentor and support junior writers, sharing expertise and helping to develop scientific and editorial capability across the team.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of editorial processes, quality standards and ways of working.
  • Identify opportunities to improve content development through better use of technology, automation and AI-enabled workflows while maintaining scientific rigour and human oversight.
  • Support scientific elements of new business opportunities, contributing to proposals, content approaches and presentations.
  • Stay current with advances in science, healthcare communications and emerging technologies to continually enhance the quality and effectiveness of our work.

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

  • Significant medical communications, medical education or healthcare content development experience.
  • Strong understanding of scientific research, clinical data interpretation and evidence-based communication.
  • Experience developing scientific content for healthcare professionals and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Excellent medical writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt style and tone for different audiences and objectives.
  • Supporting development of scientific narratives, communication platforms and educational programmes.
  • Working within pharmaceutical regulations, compliance frameworks and industry codes of practice.
  • Reviewing content for scientific accuracy, quality and consistency.
  • Collaborating effectively with account, strategy, creative, digital and client services teams.
  • Mentoring and developing more junior scientific colleagues.
  • Using insight, evidence and audience understanding to strengthen content recommendations.
  • Experience working across multiple projects and managing competing priorities.
  • Curiosity about how AI and technology can enhance content creation, review and workflow efficiency.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
