The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Senior Medical Writer to join a rapidly growing healthcare communications agency.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced publication-focused medical writer who is passionate about producing high-quality scientific content and enjoys taking ownership of projects, developing client relationships and supporting the work of more junior colleagues.

You will play a leading role across a diverse portfolio of publication projects, working closely with experienced project teams to ensure deliverables are produced to an exceptional standard, on time and in line with client objectives.

The Role

• Leading the delivery of a diverse range of publication projects
• Developing high-quality scientific content for a variety of audiences
• Contributing to publication strategy and planning
• Developing and reviewing manuscripts, abstracts, posters and other publication materials
• Reviewing junior colleagues' work for accuracy, scientific quality, consistency and adherence to project requirements
• Providing clear, constructive feedback to support colleagues' development
• Planning projects, coordinating timelines and overseeing deliverables
• Working collaboratively with project teams to ensure projects remain on track
• Communicating directly with clients and building strong, long-term relationships
• Working with authors, external experts and other stakeholders throughout the publication process
• Providing strategic recommendations around publication content and approach
• Supporting business development by identifying opportunities to extend or enhance existing client relationships
• Taking increasing responsibility for project budgets, finances and client management as you progress
