Priory Hospital Barnt Green Salary £39,392.00-£41,953.00 Dependent on Experience Full-time role of 37.5 hours per week

Priory Hospital Barnt Green has an opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse with an active NMC Registration to join our team on the PICU ward. This is a fixed term role of 18 months. This role is Lone Working 10 Patients Fully Rotational- Days and Night 37.5 Hours Long Days -07:30 AM Nights- 19:30PM - 08:00AM

Priory Hospital Barnt Green, Barnt Green, Birmingham is a purpose-built hospital providing mental health support for adults and young people, including specialist therapy and psychiatry, as well as private autism assessments for adults. It is accessible by public transport, with Barnt Green railway station approximately 1–2 miles from the hospital and local bus routes serving the surrounding area. Due to the semi-rural location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

  • Provide safe, person-centred nursing care tailored to individual needs, working closely with patients, families, carers and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Assess, plan, deliver and regularly review care, maintaining accurate records and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Act as Nurse in Charge, Bed Manager or Site Co-ordinator when required, prioritising and delegating duties effectively and supervising nursing and HCA staff.
  • Support junior, agency and student nurses, maintain mandatory training and professional development, and participate in clinical governance, supervision and reflective practice.
  • Promote safeguarding and compliance with the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, medicines management, Priory policies and the NMC Code, while managing challenging behaviour safely and professionally.

  • Qualified Registered Adult Nurse with an active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship or equivalent programme
