Full-time - 37.5 hours per week
Priory Beverley House has an opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our team.
Priory Beverley House, Edgbaston, Birmingham is a level 2 rehabilitation service for females with complex mental health needs, including emotionally unstable personality disorder, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes along City Road and Five Ways railway station approximately 1 mile from the service.
What you'll be doing
As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, you’ll take the lead in assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care, supporting both the physical and mental health needs of our patients. Working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, you’ll build trusting relationships, promote patient choice and dignity, and ensure care is delivered safely and to the highest clinical standards.

You will also:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care, assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing care plans in partnership with patients and their families.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, monitoring patient wellbeing, responding to changing needs and escalating concerns appropriately.
- Take responsibility as Nurse in Charge when required, prioritising and delegating duties effectively while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Support, supervise and develop junior staff and student nurses, contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement and high standards of practice.

What you'll bring to the role
Essential for the role
As this role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses, you will need to have experience as a Senior Nurse, and you’ll have a good understanding of NMC standards and professional practice, evidence of ongoing professional development, and a positive, flexible approach to delivering high-quality care and supporting continuous improvement.
