About the Role
The Adult Community Mental Health Team based in Bury St Edmunds, are excited to welcome applications for a year long secondment from Senior Mental Health Practitioners (Nursing/OT/Social Work) with experience or keen interest in working with complex mental health conditions.

Working in a Busy and Dynamic Adult Community Mental Health Team
- Managing a complex caseload for those under The Care Programme Approach
- Undertaking initial urgent/routine assessments on behalf of the service
- Attending multi-disciplinary team meetings with our Consultant Psychiatrists, Nurse Consultants, Clinical Team Managers, Senior Practitioners, Assistant Practitioners and Allied Health Professionals including Consultant Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Associate Psychologists, and Assistant Psychologists
- Attending outpatient clinic appointments
- Undertaking face to face visits in the community setting including home visits
- Working with service users and their families/carers to care plan, holistic goal setting, and engage in treatment planning and working in collaboration with internal/external stakeholders
- Medication administration (if qualified to do so) with opportunities to enroll in local university training programmes in medication management
- Involved in the clinical leadership decisions as part of the senior leadership team to make sure that KPIs are met and team goals are being worked towards
- Supervision and mentorship of junior staff members
