The Opportunity
Crown House Technologies (CHt), the specialist MEP delivery business of Laing O'Rourke, is recruiting an experienced Senior MEP Commercial Manager to join the team delivering a major Data Centre project in Didcot.
This is an exciting opportunity to take senior commercial responsibility across allocated MEP packages, working closely with project leadership, the client and supply chain partners to support the successful delivery of the project.
What will the Senior MEP Commercial Manager role look like?
- Lead commercial management across allocated MEP packages, taking ownership of commercial performance.
- Lead cost, forecasting, risk and opportunity management across your area of responsibility.
- Manage subcontract procurement, administration, change, accounts, claims and final accounts.
- Lead monthly cost reporting, commercial forecasting, contract reviews and management information.
- Identify, price and manage change throughout the delivery of the project.
- Provide senior commercial and contractual advice to project leadership.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriate mitigation is implemented.
- Maintain strong commercial governance, controls and contract compliance.
- Build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and key project stakeholders.
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to the wider Commercial team.

What skills & experience are we looking for?
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management; RICS membership is desirable, though not essential.
- Significant commercial management experience within MEP or building services projects.
- Proven experience leading the commercial management of complex MEP packages.
- Experience on data centres or other major construction projects is desirable.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
