We're looking for a Senior MEP Design Manager to join our KME Design Management Team.

Location: London. Flexible on location.

Hours: Full Time. Flexible working available

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As a Senior Design Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of profitable projects from tender through to completion. Working within our KME business, you'll manage design activities across multiple or large-scale schemes, ensuring solutions meet and exceed customer requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects ranging from £5m to £150m+ across various sectors including education, health, defence, and commercial. You'll be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, innovation, and professional development.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Design Manager, you'll be working within the KME team, supporting them in delivering complex MEP design solutions across major projects. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Managing internal and external design teams, ensuring clear scopes and alignment with contract requirements
  • Overseeing design activities to agreed budgets, programmes, and quality standards
  • Leading design safety reviews and ensuring CDM requirements are incorporated throughout
  • Building effective relationships with clients, project teams, and stakeholders, providing clear communication and monthly reporting
  • Supporting tender activities, managing design change processes, and identifying opportunities for value engineering

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Design Manager is great for you if:

  • You're an experienced MEP design manager who has worked for a main or Tier 1 MEP contractor
  • You have a strong technical understanding of MEPH services and experience delivering multiple medium or large complex schemes
  • You're a proactive problem solver with excellent organizational and planning skills
  • You have experience managing and leading teams to achieve multiple objectives in a collaborative way
  • You're proficient in Microsoft Office and have excellent communication and presentation skills
