Overview
We are seeking a Senior MEP Lead to join our Data Centre team in London.
Reporting to the Building Services Director, the Senior MEP Lead is responsible for overseeing the delivery of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across large or complex projects. The role ensures compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements and client specifications while driving efficiency, quality and sustainability. The Senior MEP Manager provides technical leadership, supports project teams and mentors junior staff to deliver high-quality MEP outcomes.

Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead MEP delivery on large or complex projects, ensuring quality, programme and cost objectives are met
- Provide guidance and mentorship to project MEP teams and engineers
- Ensure consistent application of company policies, standards and best practice across projects
Technical Oversight
- Review and approve MEP design, installation and commissioning plans
- Support project teams in resolving technical challenges and complex coordination issues
- Ensure compliance with regulations, client specifications and industry standards
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as senior point of contact for clients, consultants and subcontractors on MEP matters
- Collaborate with project teams and supply chain partners to improve delivery performance
- Support reporting and communication with the Building Services Director and senior leadership

Governance and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, ISO standards and company procedures
- Oversee quality assurance, commissioning and handover of MEP systems
- Support risk management and implement corrective actions where required
Continuous Improvement
- Promote adoption of digital tools, BIM and advanced MEP technologies
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, sustainability and safety in MEP delivery
- Share lessons learned and best practice across projects and teams
Experience
Skills & Knowledge
Essential
- Extensive experience managing MEP delivery on construction projects
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
- Proven leadership and team management skills with ability to influence across projects
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills
Desirable
- Experience delivering Tier 1 contractor projects or complex multi-disciplinary programmes
- Knowledge of low-carbon, energy-efficient and sustainable MEP design
- Familiarity with digital construction tools, BIM and lean delivery methodologies
Qualifications
Essential
- Degree or equivalent in mechanical, electrical, building services or related discipline
- Professional accreditation or membership of a relevant body (e.g., CIBSE, IET, Engineers Ireland)

- Chartered status with a relevant professional body
