Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor

Cambridge | £60,000-£80,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor looking to take the lead on complex, high-value projects while accelerating your career?

We're working with a well-established, multidisciplinary construction consultancy that's continuing to grow its highly regarded Cost Management team in Cambridge. With an impressive pipeline of landmark developments and an outstanding reputation across the built environment, this is an opportunity to join a business where your expertise will genuinely influence project success.

From healthcare and education to infrastructure, regeneration and major public sector developments, you'll be responsible for delivering the commercial management of significant mechanical and electrical packages from inception through to completion.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the commercial delivery of MEP packages across multiple high-profile projects.
  • Preparing detailed cost plans, estimates, budgets and tender documentation.
  • Managing procurement strategies, contractor appointments and tender evaluations.
  • Administering NEC and JCT contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Overseeing valuations, variations, change control and final accounts.
  • Driving value engineering initiatives while identifying and managing commercial risk.
  • Building lasting relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
  • Monitoring project performance to ensure commercial and programme objectives are achieved.
  • Leading commercial meetings, workshops and client presentations.

What they're looking for:

You'll be a commercially minded MEP Quantity Surveyor who enjoys taking ownership, building client relationships and delivering exceptional projects.

You'll ideally have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline.
  • Strong experience within an MEP Quantity Surveying or Building Services environment.
  • A proven track record managing mechanical and electrical packages from pre-contract through to final account.
  • A solid understanding of NEC and JCT contracts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • MRICS status (or working towards chartership) would be advantageous.
  • A proactive approach with the ambition to progress your career within a growing consultancy.
  • A full UK driving licence is preferred.
