Senior Merchandiser

BELIER BELIER is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Senior Merchandiser to take ownership of merchandising across our growing online and wholesale business.

This is a key role within the company, responsible for sales forecasting, stock planning, product performance, margins, critical path management, imports and exports, ensuring we have the right product, in the right quantities, at the right time.

As BELIER continues to expand across menswear, footwear and womenswear, both in the UK and internationally, this person will play an important role in managing our growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and forecast sales, stock requirements and incoming stock across online and wholesale.
• Recommend how much stock we should buy based on previous sales, current performance and future demand.
• Monitor sales, stock levels, sell-through and product performance and provide clear weekly reporting.
• Identify best sellers quickly and recommend repeat orders where appropriate.
• Identify slow-moving products early and recommend action to reduce excess stock.
• Work closely with Design to help build commercially strong seasonal collections.
• Monitor product costs, selling prices and margins to ensure profitability targets are achieved.
• Maintain strong control over stock investment and avoid unnecessary overstocking.
• Take full ownership of the seasonal critical path, from initial product development and sampling through to bulk production, shipping and final delivery.
• Manage and monitor sample production timelines, ensuring development, fit, sales and production samples are delivered against agreed deadlines.
• Work closely with Design, factories and suppliers to ensure product development and production remain on schedule.
• Monitor purchase orders, production dates, factory completion dates, shipping dates and warehouse deliveries, proactively resolving delays.
• Ensure key wholesale selling, campaign, launch and retailer delivery dates are built into the critical path and achieved.
• Take responsibility for import and export merchandising, working with factories, freight forwarders, warehouses and international customers.
• Manage commercial invoices, packing lists, customs information and other shipping documentation.
• Monitor freight costs, import duties and total landed product costs.
• Coordinate international inbound and outbound shipments and resolve delays or documentation issues.
• Work with the Wholesale team to ensure retailer orders and delivery requirements are planned correctly.
• Provide the Directors with clear reporting and recommendations on sales, stock, margins, production timelines and future purchasing requirements.
