Senior Merchandiser - High Street Retailer

A market leading high street retailer known globally for its apparel, outerwear, accessories, and footwear ranges is currently recruiting for a Senior Merchandiser with strong outerwear product development and category management experience to join its established buying and merchandising team.
About the Role
As the Senior Merchandiser, your main responsibility is to deliver the category performance objectives in-line with the retailer's growth strategy, maximise and drive sales and profit for the brands whilst minimising markdown spend. You will be fully accountable for trading, maintaining the Category's WSSI, managing stock and OTB. Building strong relationships with external brands and suppliers, internal buying and digital teams, whilst overseeing the merchandising & allocations team.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver category performance objectives in-line with the retailer's growth strategy.
- Maximise and drive sales and profit for the brands.
- Minimise markdown spend.
- Fully accountable for trading, maintaining the Category's WSSI, managing stock and OTB.
- Build strong relationships with external brands and suppliers, internal buying and digital teams.
- Oversee the merchandising & allocations team.

Ideal Candidate
- At Merchandiser level working for a fashion retailer, brand, or online retailer.
- Possess excellent people management, leadership, negotiation, presentation, numerical, analytical, communication (written & verbal) skills.
- Ability to work with multiple internal departments and external suppliers and brands.
- Excellent IT skills using Microsoft Office with advanced Excel and WSSI.
