Job Specification

Support and manage Nike Swim Product strategy which delivers against EMEA product Key Performance Indicators across customer and distribution segmentation, whilst being in line with brand, equity and financial targets. Supporting strategic customers with range selections and SMU requirements alongside the Account Manager to ensure sales and profit are maximized.

Job Accountabilities

  • Informs and implements EMEA product offer
  • Applies understanding of our target consumer (they are at the heart of everything we do), brand values, market dynamics and distribution blueprint to define, inform and develop Nike swim ranges (product strategy, assortment planning and line architecture including size of range).
  • Interprets and applies analysis and research to influence global product development to drive EMEA growth opportunities and ensure data based decision making.
  • Adopts EMEA product range against targets (revenue growth and profitability as well as brand equity and compelling storytelling) in collaboration with Director of Active Sports.
  • Contributes to short and long-term business planning relative to product, Category and defines actions to deliver against it (line rationalisation, harvest existing and grow new opportunities, core vs seasonal, lifecycle management, flow management)
  • Creates and deliver pricing strategy which considers consumer expectation, competitive set, and company margin targets whilst adapting to multiple currencies.
  • Initiating and managing all Special Make Ups (SMUs) as required throughout the process and liaising with all relevant partners (sales, global product team, sourcing, marketing etc.)
  • Manage territory specific ranges and create recommendations for our big key strategic regions/distribution channels and customers.
  • Manages and assess product specific needs for EMEA regional partners (distributors).
  • Manages product feedback process to all functions.
  • Responsible for all administrative support tasks to allow for smooth market implementation
  • Timely and accurate product lifecycle management (PLM) NuOrder set-up, maintenance and management throughout the season.
  • Sample order, sample management and sample distribution.
  • Creation and maintenance throughout the season of Style master, price list, line lists and all other range planning tools.
  • Own and manage the Merchandising calendar.

Sell-in and buy

  • Delivers line to market via optimum sell-in to internal partners (sales, distributors, planning, Customer Services, marketing for example)
  • Monitors and analyses seasonal performance and key KPIs (pre- and post-launch) such as turnover, volume, product mix (core and seasonal), profitability, productivity and communality on collection, classification, style and SKU level.
  • Support key account sales meetings by providing compelling sell-in arguments and tools with focus on assortment planning and sell-out performance.
  • Facilitate forecasting and buy meetings in collaboration with planning.
  • Controls, recommends and amends the Core range in line with sell-out and market dynamics.

Works in partnership with others to ensure cross functional support and alignment

  • Build strong relationship with Global team to shape product offer (Design, Merchandising and Operations Teams in Portland)
  • Collaborate with Planning on stock level and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborative relationship with Marketing team to align product and marketing strategy.
  • Establishes partnership with sales, distributors and key customers to support assortment planning, anticipate consumer preferences and exploit volume opportunities.
  • Join commercial teams for market visits (domestic and abroad) and sell-in appointments when required.
  • Establish collaborative relationship with regional peers (US, Canada, Latin Amercia and Asia) to align and support Nike Swims position as a global player.
  • Understand demands and strategic positioning of Nike Swim as part of the Nike brand.
  • Become the go-to person and expert on all product related subjects and share pro-actively product relevant information reliably across the organisation.

Candidate Profile

Essential Criteria

  • Proven track record operating in a merchandising, product management, or range planning capacity within footwear, apparel, or sports equipment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of multi-currency pricing, retail math (margins, sell-through, markdowns), and EMEA trade dynamics.
  • Proficiency in PLM software, range planning tools, and advanced Excel capabilities for data manipulation.
  • Demonstrated ability to present, negotiate, and collaborate across matrixed international teams and external partners.
  • Willingness to undertake domestic and international market travel as required.
  • Right to Work: Must hold valid authorization to work in the United Kingdom.

  • Prior category experience specifically within Swimwear or Activewear.
  • Familiarity with B2B wholesale platforms, such as NuOrder.
  • Working knowledge of specific EMEA distributor networks.
