Senior Messaging Operations Analyst

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Messaging Operations Analyst.
Through its Digital First strategy, WPB UK is becoming a truly data-driven organisation, with Data and Analytics central to the transformation. This role sits within Contact Management, part of the wider Customer Team known as Intelligence, Content and Messaging (ICM). ICM’s mission is to drive customer value and commercial growth through data-led, intelligent solutions, delivering timely, highly personalised, compliant and engaging multi-channel content and messaging.
You will shape customer communications across multiple channels, translating business requirements into compliant, engaging messages that benefit customers and the business. You will also share your expertise, promote operational excellence, champion new ideas and support effective risk management in line with HSBC standards.

In this role you will:
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of customer communications across multiple channels, including SMS, email, direct mail and in-app messaging, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
- Translate business requirements into accurate customer targeting and audience selections using customer relationship management and campaign management tools.
- Build capability across the squad and wider team by sharing your messaging expertise, supporting training and mentoring colleagues.
- Improve team processes, manage risks and champion automation to increase efficiency and campaign effectiveness.
- Build strong partnerships across business, product and technical teams, influencing shared priorities and helping the squad achieve its delivery objectives.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience in a technical or systems-driven role involving structured, step-by-step processes. (Essential)
- Practical experience using CIM or a comparable data tool is desirable.
- Ability to interpret and manipulate data using SQL or SAS.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy. (Essential)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. (Essential)
- Good knowledge of Agile methodology, with experience using Monday.com and Confluence in squad-based delivery.

This is a hybrid role based in Sheffield. Please confirm whether Chester, Leeds and Birmingham should also be listed as available locations.
