About the Role

We’re recruiting for a well-established manufacturing business looking to strengthen its technical team with a Senior Metallurgist – but we’re also very open to hearing from an ambitious Metallurgy/Materials graduate who has the right technical foundation, drive and commitment to develop into the role.

Experienced Metallurgist

For an experienced Metallurgist, this is an opportunity to take real ownership of metallurgical quality, melting operations, process improvement and technical performance.

Graduate Opportunity

For a graduate or someone earlier in their career, it offers the chance to learn from an experienced team, gain significant hands-on manufacturing exposure and develop towards a senior technical position.

Role Overview

The role is approximately 60% technical/office based and 40% shopfloor, so would particularly suit someone who enjoys being close to production rather than purely desk based.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
