About The Role
Connected Mobility is transforming the way Motability Operations understands and manages its fleet, using connected vehicle data such as vehicle health, mileage and diagnostic information to improve customer experience, operational efficiency and commercial outcomes.
We’re looking for a Senior MI Analyst specialising in Connected Mobility to join the Customer Services MI team. Reporting to the MI Partner Team Manager, you’ll take the analytical lead for Connected Mobility within CSMI, helping turn a growing and increasingly valuable source of vehicle data into actionable insight and measurable business value.
This is a hands-on analytical role. You’ll work with large and complex datasets, develop reporting and analytical products, investigate emerging trends and use connected vehicle data alongside our wider customer and operational data to build a more complete understanding of our customers and fleet.
You’ll be expected to go beyond responding to requests. You’ll proactively identify opportunities within the data, ask the right questions and translate your findings into clear recommendations that can improve customer outcomes, reduce cost and support better operational and commercial decisions.
As the senior analyst in this space, you’ll also help shape how Connected Mobility data is used across CSMI and the wider business, working closely with the Connected Mobility product team, data and technology colleagues and operational stakeholders.
About You
You’ll be passionate about using data to solve real business problems and comfortable working in a developing area where not every question or use case has already been defined.
You’ll be a proactive self-starter who is naturally curious about what the data is telling you. You’ll be confident exploring new datasets, forming hypotheses and identifying opportunities without waiting for someone to tell you exactly what analysis to undertake.
You’ll combine strong technical analytical skills with commercial and operational thinking. You’ll understand that producing the analysis is only part of the role — the real value comes from communicating what it means, recommending what should happen next and helping stakeholders turn insight into action.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
