Overview

We're looking for an experienced Senior Microsoft 365 consultant to lead the design, migration and governance of enterprise Microsoft 365 environments. This is a client-facing, full-time remote contract covering tenant consolidation, workplace modernization, security and compliance, and cloud adoption work. You'll work directly with business and technical stakeholders, running workshops and producing architecture documentation, while also staying hands-on with complex implementation activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery, assessment and architecture workshops across Microsoft 365 and Azure, then design solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Deliver tenant migrations, consolidations and divestiture-related separation projects, including identity, mail, Teams, SharePoint, endpoint and data migration.
  • Configure and optimize Microsoft 365 identity, collaboration, security and compliance capabilities, including Microsoft Purview compliance implementations.
  • Produce High-Level and Low-Level Designs, implementation plans and operational documentation, and act as subject matter expert across technical workstreams.
  • Run platform health assessments, identify technical risks and dependencies, and develop remediation, optimization and mitigation plans.
  • Advise on Microsoft licensing, governance and security best practice, and support handover into operational support teams.

Required Skills

  • Proven track record delivering Microsoft 365 projects in enterprise environments, including M&A, divestiture or tenant-to-tenant migration/transformation programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Comfortable working independently across both consulting and hands-on technical delivery.
  • Experience producing formal architecture and design documentation (HLD/LLD).
  • Experience working within regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation and presentation skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Azure infrastructure and landing zone design.
  • Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Nerdio.
  • Microsoft Purview compliance implementations.
