Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer – Technical Lead, Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering
Location: London, UK
Contract: 4-Month Fixed Term Employment
Work Pattern: 3 days onsite + 2 days hybrid
Role Summary
We are looking for a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer with strong hands-on experience in the current Microsoft 365 environment. The role will focus on M365 administration, cloud infrastructure, identity, security, collaboration, automation, and enterprise support.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Power Platform.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex M365, identity, messaging, and collaboration issues.
- Manage Entra ID, Hybrid Identity, Conditional Access, MFA, licensing, governance, and user lifecycle.
- Implement and support Microsoft Purview, DLP, retention, eDiscovery, and information protection.
- Manage Exchange Online mail flow, security, transport rules, and hybrid environments.
- Develop automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API.
- Support enterprise-scale M365 security, compliance, monitoring, and governance.
- Create technical documentation and contribute to M365 architecture and roadmap decisions.
- Work closely with infrastructure, security, and business teams and mentor junior engineers.

Essential Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of infrastructure/platform engineering experience.
- 5+ years of strong Microsoft 365 engineering/administration experience.
- Strong expertise in Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Power Platform.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Hybrid Identity, Conditional Access, MFA, Purview, DLP, and compliance.
- Hands-on PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API experience.
- Experience working in large enterprise/current M365 environments.
- Experience with Git/GitHub.
- Insurance domain experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills are essential.

- Relevant Microsoft 365 certifications
Ideal Candidate
A senior, hands-on Microsoft 365 specialist with strong enterprise experience, excellent communication skills, and proven experience supporting complex M365 environments, preferably within the insurance sector.
