Job Summary
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 Finance Consultant to lead and support the delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management solutions. This is a home-based role, with travel to client sites required where project or customer needs dictate.
The primary delivery platform is Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, including Dynamics 365 Finance and related Finance and Operations applications.
The Nexer Senior Finance Consultant is a key client-facing role, responsible for shaping, configuring, and delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance solutions that meet customer requirements while supporting delivery against agreed scope, timescales, and budget.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and support customer discovery and design workshops, analysing, challenging, and documenting finance requirements, business processes, pain points, and desired outcomes.
- Advise customers on the best use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, recommending standard functionality, configuration options, and appropriate process improvements to meet business requirements.
- Producing appropriate documentation to a high standard according to Nexer’s project methodology and phase.
- Ensuring that the Microsoft Dynamics D365 implementation is correctly configured to ensure the processes run as defined.
- Identify functional gaps and work with solution architects, developers, and customer stakeholders to design appropriate extensions, integrations, reports, or process changes where standard functionality does not meet agreed requirements.
- Testing and documenting the modifications that have been designed and introducing the finished modifications to the customer.
- Presenting to prospects and customers at all levels of the customer business.

Experience and Skills
You must have:
- Significant previous Dynamics 365 Finance, or Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management consultancy experience across multiple ERP implementations, including multi-company, multi-country, multi-currency, and Project Operations or project accounting scenarios.
- Experience with project accounting or Project Operations, including project setup, budgeting, transactions, revenue recognition, billing, and financial control processes.
- Experience of working within a proven implementation methodology.
- Finance management, finance operations, or finance transformation experience within retail, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, or similar project-led organisations.
- Excellent understanding of ERP systems and how they are employed in business use.
- Good awareness of the technical components of an ERP environment and how they integrate.
- Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Management Reporter, financial reporting, data entities, and Microsoft Excel-based analysis.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products in the preparation of documentation, analysis, and presentations.
It is beneficial to your application that you may have:
- Significant knowledge to a demonstrable level of at least one other of the Microsoft Dynamics D365 areas listed:
- Distribution & Trade
- Manufacturing
- Warehousing/Supply Chain
- Retail and POS
- HR
- An understanding of the wider D365 Dynamics stack and its integration layer.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud platforms and its capabilities.
- An understanding of the D365 for Finance & Operations browser client environment, including navigation, key modules and workspaces, and configuration.
- ERP Retail, Manufacturing, or Distribution experience on other platforms.

Qualifications
You will have a good educational background, ideally up to a degree level, or equivalent, in a related subject.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications are desirable, particularly MB-310 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant.
- CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent finance qualification is desirable. Previous experience in a finance role before moving into consulting would be advantageous.
