Position Description
At CGI, you’ll help clients unlock greater value from Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, shaping digital solutions that improve how organisations work and make decisions. As a Senior Microsoft Power Platform Consultant, you’ll take ownership from early-stage advisory and solution design through to hands-on delivery, using Power Apps, Power BI and the wider platform to solve real business challenges. Every engagement will bring something different, giving you the freedom to bring fresh ideas, challenge established approaches and identify opportunities for greater impact. You’ll work closely with clients and CGI experts, sharing your knowledge, developing others and benefiting from a supportive community that enables you to broaden your expertise and influence future solutions.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position, but typically attending client offices in Aberdeen one to two days per week, so you will need to live within reasonable commuting distance.
Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will take ownership of Microsoft 365 and Power Platform engagements spanning advisory, solution shaping, technical design and hands-on implementation. You’ll work directly with clients to understand their requirements and desired outcomes, translating them into effective solutions while balancing technical considerations, risk, value and cost.

- Advise & Shape – Work with clients to understand business challenges and shape effective Microsoft 365 and Power Platform solutions.
- Design & Deliver – Take solutions from high-level concepts and technical design through to hands-on implementation.
- Develop & Enhance – Build Power Apps and troubleshoot technical issues to deliver reliable user experiences.
- Analyse & Visualise – Use Power BI to help clients transform data into meaningful business insight.
- Govern & Optimise – Apply Power Platform CoE principles to support effective governance, adoption and sustainable platform use.
- Engage & Influence – Build trusted relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
- Balance & Decide – Evaluate risk, reward, cost and client objectives when recommending technical approaches.
- Innovate & Improve – Bring fresh ideas from previous engagements and identify opportunities to improve client outcomes.
- Own & Deliver – Manage your work independently and take accountability for high-quality delivery.
- Mentor & Support – Share knowledge and help colleagues strengthen their Power Platform capabilities.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
You’ll bring strong hands-on Microsoft Power Platform expertise alongside the consulting skills required to understand client challenges and shape appropriate solutions. You should be comfortable moving between advisory conversations, technical design and practical delivery, working independently while drawing on and contributing to CGI’s wider community of experts.
- Good practical experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps, including development and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with Power BI.
- Experience with Power Platform Centre of Excellence (CoE) approaches and practices.
- Good understanding of the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Proven ability to translate client requirements into appropriate technology solutions.
- Experience contributing to solution shaping and technical design as well as hands-on delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management and client engagement skills.
- Ability to assess and balance risk, value and cost when making recommendations.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, manage priorities and take ownership of delivery.
- Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and follow-on client work.
- Strong communication, knowledge-sharing and mentoring skills.
