We're looking for a seasoned and strategic individual to take a leading role within our Account Management team as a dedicated partner to our Mid-Market clients. In this role, you will take ownership of a key portfolio of growing customers, including dynamic businesses with revenues up to $1 billion, setting the standard for partnership excellence. Your mission is to ensure our clients feel supported and empowered, helping them achieve their goals by unlocking the full potential of their BlackLine investment.

You'll Get To

  • Lead and Deepen Relationships: Act as a senior advocate for our mid-market clients, taking the lead on cultivating deep, consultative partnerships rooted in empathy and a genuine desire to see them succeed.
  • Empower Client Growth: Guide clients on their journey with BlackLine by strategically identifying opportunities for them to solve new challenges and enhance their operations.
  • Manage Strategic Deal Cycles: Confidently manage the full cycle for expansion opportunities, guiding clients through a collaborative process to ensure successful and valuable outcomes.
  • Create a Vision for Success: Take ownership of the Client Roadmap in partnership with Customer Success, facilitating high-level conversations to ensure the value of BlackLine's solutions is clear and aligned with their strategic business goals.
  • Act as a Mentor and Expert: Serve as a go-to resource for the wider team, sharing best practices and providing guidance on complex customer situations and negotiations.
  • Foster a Collaborative Environment: Work in close partnership with internal teams - including Customer Success, Implementations, Support, and Legal - to deliver a seamless and supportive experience that sets a benchmark for excellence.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven Account Management Experience: A strong and consistent track record of success in a quota-carrying Account Management or sales role, with extensive experience in nurturing and growing a client portfolio.
  • A Sophisticated Consultative Approach: A naturally curious, persistent, and people-oriented style, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and offer insightful, senior-level guidance to business leaders.
  • Deep Business Acumen: The ability to quickly understand your client's evolving business needs and find creative, commercially-savvy solutions to their unique challenges.
  • A Spirit of Collaboration and Leadership: A proven ability to thrive in a flexible, fast-paced environment, working effectively independently and as a role model within a collaborative team.
  • Exceptional Communication & Influence: Outstanding skills in building rapport, communicating with clarity, and fostering agreement, with experience preparing and presenting a variety of client-facing materials.
