This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the restart and expansion of one of Northern Ireland's highly prospective gold mines. You will be involved in the diverse operations of a growing mine and will work closely with a small team of respected professionals.
Responsibilities
The Senior Mining Engineer will play a pivotal role in the restart and expansion of the mine. The successful candidate will report to the Mine Manager and General Manager, and will work closely with all other members of the technical team, mining staff, and mining contractor.

Qualifications and Experience

- A degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University.
- At least 8 years of experience in underground hard rock mining. Preferably with experience in narrow vein gold mining and stoping.
- Prior exposure to challenging ground conditions.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of mine planning, services, ventilation, pumping, rock mechanics, ground control, construction, material handling, backfill and production drill and blast.
- Working knowledge of Deswik or similar.
- Rock Mechanics experience or qualification would be an asset.
- Full clean driving license is essential.
- Collaborative approach to mining and teamwork with strong leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and technical challenges.
