Senior MLOps Engineer
London (Hybrid, 1-2 days per week) | £75,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits
This is an opportunity for a Senior MLOps Engineer to take ownership of the infrastructure that underpins a growing AI and machine learning platform. You'll play a key role in building scalable, production-grade systems that support advanced analytics, machine learning and emerging AI applications, while helping shape the future technical direction of the business.

You will join a collaborative technical team where engineering quality, scalability and innovation are key priorities. The environment offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of modern MLOps, platform engineering and cloud technologies.
The Role
You will:
- Own and evolve the infrastructure that powers production AI and machine learning services.
- Design, build and maintain orchestration pipelines supporting model training, deployment and retraining.
- Deploy and manage machine learning workloads within Kubernetes-based environments.
- Develop and improve monitoring, observability and platform reliability capabilities.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and help drive automation across the technology stack.
- Work closely with machine learning engineers, data scientists and software engineers to deliver scalable solutions.
- Contribute to platform standards, governance and best practices across AI and MLOps.
- Support the adoption of new technologies and capabilities across the wider engineering function.

Your Skills & Experience
You will ideally have:
- Strong commercial experience in MLOps, platform engineering or infrastructure engineering.
- Excellent Python software engineering skills, including developing, refactoring and maintaining production systems.
- Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow, Prefect or similar.
- Production experience deploying, scaling and troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Bicep, Pulumi or equivalent tooling.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, observability and operational best practices.
- Understanding of machine learning platforms, model deployment workflows and production ML environments.
- Exposure to cloud technologies, particularly within Azure environments, would be beneficial.
