About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile App Developer to join our dynamic technology team on a remote basis within the UK. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the development and enhancement of high-quality native mobile applications used by customers across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms, from initial concept through to deployment. Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, backend developers, and other stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in delivering intuitive, high-performing user experiences. This position is ideal for someone passionate about mobile development, eager to work on innovative projects, and interested in shaping the future of our mobile offerings.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in native mobile application development with proven experience in both iOS and Android environments. Key qualifications include:

- Significant commercial experience developing native applications for iOS and Android.
- Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit for iOS development.
- Experience with Kotlin and Java for Android development.
- Demonstrated ability to publish applications successfully to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Strong understanding of REST API integration and third-party service consumption.
- Knowledge of mobile application architecture patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.
- Experience with version control systems like Git and modern development practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Bonus points for experience with cloud platforms (Firebase, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) or cross-platform frameworks like Flutter or React Native.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Senior Mobile App Developer include, but are not limited to:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining native mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Building new features and enhancing existing functionalities to improve user experience and app performance.
- Implementing UI components using SwiftUI, UIKit, Kotlin, and Java in accordance with best practices.
- Integrating REST APIs and third-party services to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
- Writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code that adheres to coding standards and architectural guidelines.
- Participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and contributing to technical decision-making processes.
- Collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver cohesive and innovative solutions.
- Mentoring junior developers, sharing knowledge, and supporting team growth.
- Staying updated with the latest industry trends and incorporating new technologies where appropriate.
