Senior Mobile Engineer (Android Focus)

Location: Liverpool Street
Salary: Up to £80,000 + bonus (DOE)

We're working with a fast-growing, well-backed business in the EV charging space. They are one of the UK's fastest-moving Charge Point Operators. Having scaled from a handful of engineers to a genuinely cross-functional tech team over the past few years, they're now looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join their team.

This role will be cross-platform although the main focus will be Android (80-90%). The team already has 2 x iOS Engineers so this will be to take the reigns of all things Android.

This is a rare chance to work at the intersection of hardware and software. Unlike most mobile roles, which sit purely in the app layer, here you'll be building the mobile experience that sits directly on top of real-world charging hardware.

You'll be joining at a pivotal moment: the team is completing a major re-platform of the core app this year, before shifting focus to an exciting roadmap of new features as the business expands into new UK regions and works with local authorities across the country.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
