Role Description

Orfiq is hiring a Senior / Tech Lead Mobile Engineer to take a leading role in building, scaling, and evolving our mobile platform across iOS and Android.

This is a senior hands-on engineering role for someone who can operate beyond feature delivery — shaping mobile architecture, API integrations, engineering standards, scalability, and technical direction as the product grows toward enterprise-level adoption.

You’ll work closely with frontend, backend, and web app teams across React Native, TypeScript, FastAPI, Node.js,.NET, and Azure.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead the architecture and development of scalable iOS and Android applications using React Native and TypeScript
  • Take technical ownership of the mobile platform, including architecture, performance, security, reliability, and maintainability
  • Help take the product from its current stage to a robust enterprise-grade platform, capable of supporting increasing users, data volumes, integrations, and operational complexity
  • Design and integrate scalable REST APIs and mobile-facing backend services
  • Work closely with backend services built using FastAPI / Python, Node.js, and ASP.NET /.NET
  • Define effective API contracts, integration patterns, and backend-for-frontend approaches for mobile applications
  • Design secure authentication, authorization, SSO integration, and API communication flows
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and make architectural improvements across the mobile and integration layers
  • Ensure the application architecture can support enterprise scalability, resilience, observability, and long-term maintainability
  • Build responsive and adaptive user experiences across phones and tablets
  • Introduce native iOS or Android functionality where React Native alone is not sufficient
  • Drive engineering standards around code quality, testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and release management
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across the mobile development lifecycle
  • Contribute to wider architecture discussions and technical decision-making across the platform
  • Own App Store and Google Play deployment, versioning, and production release processes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Refactoring or redesigning systems to improve scalability and reliability
  • Establishing engineering patterns and standards for a growing team
