Senior Mobile Game UI/UX Artist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Mobile Game UI/UX Artist based in United Kingdom.

This is a senior creative role focused on shaping intuitive, expressive, and highly engaging interfaces for mobile games enjoyed by players around the world.

You will define the visual identity of the game UI while building scalable systems that keep experiences consistent across devices and screen sizes.

The role combines visual design, UX thinking, prototyping, design systems, and close collaboration with game development teams.

You will transform concepts into polished interfaces, seamlessly blending 2D UI with 3D game assets while maintaining strong hierarchy and visual impact.

You will also contribute to modern AI-assisted workflows that accelerate ideation, exploration, and asset creation.

Success requires both artistic excellence and a systems mindset, with a strong understanding of mobile gaming conventions and player behavior.

This is an opportunity to make a visible impact in a fast-moving, remote-friendly environment where creativity, experimentation, and collaboration are highly valued.

Accountabilities

  • Define and own the visual direction, layout, interaction patterns, and overall artistic quality of mobile game interfaces.
  • Create high-fidelity 2D UI assets, icons, screens, menus, and interactive elements that are colorful, polished, intuitive, and optimized for mobile devices.
  • Integrate 2D UI layers with 3D game assets while maintaining visual hierarchy, depth, readability, and a cohesive aesthetic.
  • Build, scale, and maintain a component-driven UI design system in Figma, including reusable components, variants, variables, auto-layout structures, and responsive behaviors.
  • Design modular and reusable UI components that account for mobile platform constraints and different screen sizes and aspect ratios.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and iconography that prioritize intuitive navigation, touch ergonomics, and engaging player interactions.
  • Design interfaces for modern free-to-play meta systems, including progression tracks, Battle Passes, collection systems, rewards, and other engagement features.
  • Collaborate closely with programmers, technical artists, producers, and other creative stakeholders to ensure designs are implemented accurately and retain their intended visual quality in-engine.
  • Use generative AI and AI-assisted design tools to accelerate brainstorming, mood-board development, concept exploration, iteration, and asset generation.
  • Maintain clear design documentation and communicate UI logic and design-system principles effectively to technical and creative teams.
  • Contribute to UI animations, visual effects, and other implementation considerations where appropriate.
  • Continuously refine the player experience by balancing visual excitement with clarity, usability, consistency, and performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
