Job Requirements

At Quest Global, it’s not just what we do but how and why we do it that makes us different. With over 25 years as an engineering services provider, we believe in the power of doing things differently to make the impossible possible. Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place—to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Modelling and Control Engineer to join our Aerospace & Defence engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, analysing, simulating, and validating complex dynamic system models and control algorithms for advanced aerospace and defence applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and validate dynamic system models using MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Design, implement, and tune control algorithms for complex aerospace and defence systems.
  • Develop state machines, logic-based control architectures, and supervisory control functions using Stateflow.
  • Perform system modelling, simulation, stability analysis, and performance assessment.
  • Translate system requirements into mathematical models, control system architectures, and executable simulations.
  • Conduct linear and nonlinear modelling, system identification, sensitivity analysis, and parameter estimation.
  • Support model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities and model-based development workflows.
  • Develop and execute simulation test cases to verify control system performance against technical requirements.
  • Perform model verification, validation, and troubleshooting, identifying design issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support software-in-the-loop (SIL), processor-in-the-loop (PIL), and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing where applicable.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, software engineers, hardware teams, and test engineers to ensure seamless integration of control solutions.
  • Produce technical documentation, modelling reports, design specifications, and verification evidence.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Contribute to design reviews, technical risk assessments, and continuous engineering improvement activities.
  • Ensure engineering outputs comply with relevant aerospace and defence standards, safety requirements, and quality processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
