Senior Multi Skilled Operative

We are now seeking an experienced Senior Multi Skilled Operative to undertake high-quality multi-skilled repairs, maintenance, building, installation, and improvement works across Cornwall in support of responsive, planned, and minor works delivery. The postholder will apply a core trade qualification together with broad multi-trade capability to deliver safe, compliant, and customer-focused works across a varied property portfolio.

You will support the effective delivery of the Construction & Property business plan through the efficient coordination and utilisation of labour, materials, plant, subcontractors, and company assets. The postholder will work closely with Supervisors, colleagues, and specialist subcontractors to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards, with a focus on right-first-time completion, customer satisfaction, and value for money.

Key Duties

  • Undertake responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and minor improvement works across domestic, commercial, and public sector properties throughout Cornwall, ensuring work is completed to the required quality, safety, and performance standards.
  • Apply a recognised trade specialism alongside a broad range of multi-trade skills to carry out maintenance, installation, alteration, repair, and finishing works across a variety of property types.
  • Plan and organise daily work activities, including assessing work requirements, identifying resource needs, selecting appropriate materials and equipment, and delivering works safely, efficiently, and effectively, either independently or as part of a team.
  • Support Supervisors in the day-to-day delivery of programmes of work by providing accurate progress updates, identifying additional or follow-on works, escalating risks and issues, and contributing to the effective scheduling and completion of tasks.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, tenants, members of the public, subcontractors, and colleagues, delivering a professional, responsive, and customer-focused service at all times.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
