EPS Ltd is a property maintenance company serving a wide range of clients across the South West of England. The business covers all aspects of property maintenance, from safety testing to lock replacements and general repairs. Customers include small local letting agents in Bristol and Bath that require day-to-day maintenance, as well as large national companies with major offices in the region. EPS Ltd provides ongoing facilities management and contracted works, offering reliable, professional support tailored to each client’s needs.

Role Description

The Senior Multi Trade Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Bristol Area, United Kingdom. The role involves carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks, including repair, replacement, and installation across multiple trades (such as basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general building fabric work). The engineer will perform safety checks, diagnose issues, and complete scheduled and reactive maintenance for both residential and commercial properties. Day-to-day responsibilities include attending customer sites, assessing required work, ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards, and accurately documenting completed tasks. The Senior Multi Trade Engineer will also support junior team members, provide technical guidance, and help maintain strong relationships with clients through professional and timely service.

  • Demonstrated experience in multiple trades (e.g., general building maintenance, basic plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, and decorating) and the ability to complete quality repairs independently.
  • Strong understanding of property safety standards, testing procedures, and compliance requirements relevant to residential and commercial facilities.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, fault-finding techniques, and maintenance best practices, with a focus on safe working methods.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients, tenants, and colleagues.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload, manage multiple jobs, and maintain accurate records and job reports.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Greater Bristol Area and wider South West region as required.
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g., NVQ or City & Guilds in a building services discipline); additional safety or compliance certifications are an advantage.
  • Previous experience in facilities management, property maintenance, or a similar field is highly beneficial.
