Purpose of the Role:
The Senior National Account Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth, margin enhancement, and sustainable customer development across a diverse portfolio of customers. The role encompasses multiple sectors within the foodservice industry, but with a particular focus on the pub sector. The role includes the management of national wholesale partners as key routes to market, alongside direct engagement with end-user customers.
A critical aspect of the role is the ability to effectively manage and influence tri-party relationships between customer chefs and category buyers. The successful candidate will act as the strategic link between all parties, ensuring alignment of objectives, maximising distribution opportunities, and delivering mutually beneficial commercial outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within the foodservice sector and a proven track record of delivering growth through both wholesale and end-user channels, specifically within pubs. They will possess strong commercial acumen, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to identify opportunities that drive sales, improve profitability, and strengthen customer partnerships.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented individual to join a growing business, with scope for personal development as the role evolves.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
