Senior National Account Manager

Greater Manchester | £60,000–£70,000 + £7,000 car allowance + bonus up to 50%

A branded consumer goods business is recruiting a Senior National Account Manager to take ownership of £10m to £20m of turnover across its Tier 1 grocery and discounter accounts. The role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

The brands are household names with genuine consumer recognition, and the retail relationships are long established. What the business is changing is how those accounts are grown. It is moving away from promotionally led trading towards strategic account management, with proper joint business planning, data-led propositions and customer plans built to hold up through a range review. A new sales process has been introduced, alongside investment in training and commercial tools, and senior hires are being made to lead the change rather than absorb it.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This will suit a high-performing National Account Manager ready to step up, or an existing Senior NAM looking for greater scope and closer proximity to commercial decision-making. The reporting line into the CCO is unusual at this level and is a genuine feature of the role rather than a technicality.

Package

  • £60,000 to £70,000 base salary
  • £7,000 car allowance
  • A bonus scheme paying up to 50% of salary

The business operates from a modern, collaborative head office in Greater Manchester, with sales sitting alongside product, marketing, buying and supply chain. The role is office-based for that reason.
