Senior National Account Manager – Grocery
Branded Alcohol & Soft Drinks
Home Based
£65,000 – £80,000 + Car / Car Allowance + Bonus
FMCG Selection are working with an established and entrepreneurial UK drinks business to recruit a Senior National Account Manager to lead the development of the Grocery channel.
With a turnover in excess of £30m, the business operates across a diverse portfolio of branded alcoholic and soft drinks, incorporating its own brands alongside licensed partnerships and innovative new product development.
The company already has an established customer base across the Convenience, Discount, Wholesale and High Street channels and has built a strong reputation for bringing innovative and differentiated drink propositions to market.
As part of the next phase of growth, they are now looking to significantly increase their presence within the major Grocery Multiples.
This represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Grocery sales professional to take genuine ownership of the channel, developing new trading relationships and building sustainable business across customers including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose, Co-op and other major Grocery and retail customers.

The Role
Reporting directly into the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for developing and executing the Grocery sales strategy.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Opening and developing new relationships across the major Grocery Multiples
- Identifying opportunities across both the existing portfolio and future NPD
- Building compelling customer propositions and commercial plans
- Leading negotiations around pricing, promotions, listings and JBPs
- Developing long-term relationships with Grocery buyers and commercial teams
- Working closely with the founders and wider business to shape the future direction of the Grocery channel
- Identifying market, category and customer opportunities that can accelerate growth
- Taking significant ownership for a strategically important area of the business
The Person
We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- Strong Grocery Multiple experience within FMCG
- Established relationships across customers such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons or Waitrose
- Experience within Soft Drinks, Alcohol, Beverages or another fast-moving branded FMCG category
- A proven track record of winning new business and developing major national accounts
- The commercial capability to operate both strategically and hands-on
- An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive within a fast-moving, owner-led business

This could suit an experienced National Account Manager ready to take on greater responsibility, or a Senior National Account Manager looking for an opportunity offering genuine autonomy and the potential to develop into a broader commercial leadership position.
The position is home based, with travel to customers and occasional meetings at the company’s Northern Head Office.
Salary: £65,000 – £80,000
Package: Car / Car Allowance + Bonus
