Senior National Account Manager - Grocery

South West

£60-70k plus package

Our client is a highly regarded £100m+ food manufacturing business supplying many of the UK's leading grocery retailers with premium own-label and branded products, and a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer partnership.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Senior National Account Manager will take ownership of a portfolio of key grocery retail accounts, driving sustainable revenue, volume and profit growth.

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans, leading commercial negotiations, annual reviews, joint business planning and promotional activity.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with buyers and senior customer stakeholders, positioning the business as a true commercial partner.
  • Identify and unlock growth opportunities through category insight, innovation, range development and customer-focused solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally with NPD, Technical, Supply Chain, Finance and Marketing teams to deliver exceptional customer service, successful product launches and future growth initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are keen to speak with highly commercial FMCG professionals who combine strong customer relationship skills with a strategic and growth-focused mindset.

  • Proven National Account Manager or Senior National Account Manager experience within the food sector with a track record of successfully managing and growing major grocery retail accounts.
  • A genuine passion for food, products and consumer trends, with a natural curiosity for what is happening across the category.
  • Experience operating in an innovation-led environment, working closely with NPD and cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products.
  • Recognised for developing collaborative, long-term customer partnerships and creating value beyond price alone.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with supply chain, finance, technical and product development teams.
