Senior National Account Manager – Grocery
Drinks | Grocery | Own Label
We are partnering with an established and ambitious drinks business to recruit a Senior National Account Manager – Grocery to play a key role in developing its UK retail business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced grocery account manager who has strong relationships across the major UK retailers and understands the complexities of own-label as well as branded drinks.
Working closely with the senior commercial team, you will take ownership of key grocery relationships, identify new opportunities and help drive sustainable, profitable growth across the retail channel.
The role will include:
- Managing and developing relationships with major UK grocery customers
- Growing existing accounts while identifying and converting new business opportunities
- Leading customer negotiations, commercial plans and JBPs
- Developing own-label opportunities from initial customer conversations through to launch
- Working cross-functionally with NPD, marketing, supply chain, technical and finance
- Managing pricing, promotional investment, forecasts and account profitability
- Building strong relationships with buyers and other key stakeholders across the grocery channel

We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong experience managing major UK grocery accounts within the drinks industry
- Established relationships and credibility with grocery retailers
- Hands-on own-label/private-label experience – this is essential
- A strong commercial understanding of P&L, margin, pricing and customer investment
- Experience of winning new business as well as developing existing accounts
- A proactive, entrepreneurial approach and the ability to work effectively in a growing business

Spirits experience would be highly advantageous, although we are equally interested in candidates from the wider drinks industry
This would particularly suit someone who enjoys being close to their customers, has strong grocery relationships and wants the opportunity to have a real influence on the growth of a business.
