The Role

The Senior National Account Manager will play a key role in driving TRIP’s growth within the Grocery sector, managing a portfolio of top accounts with a focus on delivering exceptional results. This role combines strategic delivery with operational excellence, ensuring alignment with TRIP’s mission to bring calm to everyday chaos and establish functional drinks as a category leader. The ideal candidate will build strong, collaborative relationships with key customers, execute flawlessly on joint business plans, and deliver against ambitious growth targets. This hands-on role requires a commercial, detail-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about making TRIP the go-to brand for better-for-you drinks.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management

  • Take ownership of a suite of high-profile grocery accounts, managing all aspects of the customer relationship to deliver exceptional performance.
  • Execute joint business plans, ensuring alignment with TRIP’s strategic goals while maximising distribution, rate of sale, and profitability.
  • Monitor account performance, identifying growth opportunities and implementing plans to optimise results.

Customer Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with account buyers and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner.
  • Communicate TRIP’s mission and unique value proposition clearly and persuasively to inspire customer alignment and support.
  • Be the primary point of contact for customer queries, ensuring swift resolution and fostering long-term partnerships.

Executional Excellence

  • Ensure brilliant basics are delivered across pricing, availability, and promotional execution, both in-store and online.
  • Lead the operational implementation of account plans, including range reviews, new product launches, and promotional activity.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure all elements of account management are executed to a high standard.

Commercial Acumen

  • Manage account P&Ls, ensuring financial targets are met and delivering mutually beneficial results for TRIP and its partners.
  • Lead terms negotiations, balancing short-term wins with long-term growth.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasting, working closely with internal teams to align supply and demand seamlessly.

Collaborating to Deliver Results

  • Work cross-functionally with category, trade marketing, and supply chain teams to deliver best-in-class account execution.
  • Provide insights and feedback to internal teams to help refine TRIP’s approach to grocery retail and drive continuous improvement.

Championing TRIP’s Mission

  • Act as an ambassador for TRIP’s mission to redefine wellness, bringing calm and better-for-you options to mainstream grocery.
  • Position TRIP as the leader in the functional drinks category, ensuring customers view the brand as a critical part of their portfolio.

About You:

Skills and Experience

  • Account Management Expertise: 5-8 years of experience in FMCG account management, ideally within the Grocery sector. Drinks experience is advantageous.
  • Execution-Focused: Proven ability to manage operational details while delivering against broader strategic objectives.
  • Commercially Savvy: Strong understanding of P&Ls, joint business plans, and terms negotiations, with a focus on delivering mutually beneficial results.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring flawless execution of all account activities.
  • Relationship Builder: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, supported by clear and confident communication skills.
  • Data-Led Decision Maker: Skilled at analysing performance data and translating insights into actionable growth plans.
