Grocery Senior National Account Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grocery Senior National Account Manager to join a well-established, major branded food manufacturer with a significant presence across UK and European retail. This is a business with genuine scale, a portfolio of household-name brands, and strong, long-standing partnerships with the UK's leading grocery retailers.

The culture is collaborative and commercially ambitious, with real visibility at senior level for those who deliver.

This is a high-profile commercial role with full account ownership, sitting at the heart of a commercially driven team. The Senior National Account Manager will take the lead on a strategic retail account, with responsibility for driving sustainable growth, protecting and improving margin, and building long-term customer partnerships.

The Role

As Senior National Account Manager, you will hold full P&L responsibility for a defined account or portfolio, leading Joint Business Planning and owning the commercial strategy end-to-end. This is a role for someone ready to step up and lead, not just manage. You'll work cross-functionally across category, marketing, supply chain and operations to deliver against commercial targets and support a high-performing team culture.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
