Senior National Account Manager – Grocery

£60,000–£70,000 + Bonus | London / Hybrid High-Growth FMCG

We’re working exclusively with one of the most exciting high-growth consumer businesses in the UK.

This is a founder-led SME that has gone from challenger brand to a c.£50m turnover business at serious pace and it is nowhere near finished.

Growth is accelerating. New retail listings are flying. Grocery is becoming a major part of the next chapter. International expansion is underway. And the ambition from the founders is significantly bigger than where the business is today.

They are now looking for a brilliant Senior National Account Manager – Grocery to join the commercial team and help turn that momentum into the next phase of scale.

This is not a steady-state NAM role where you're inheriting a mature account, tweaking a JBP and fighting for another 0.2% of promotional funding.

This is a build role.

You'll be joining an entrepreneurial, fast-moving business where decisions happen quickly, great ideas get acted upon and the person coming into this role will have genuine influence over how the Grocery channel develops.

What you'll be doing

You'll take ownership of major UK Grocery relationships and be responsible for turning rapidly growing consumer demand into distribution, listings, rate of sale and sustainable customer growth.

You'll be:

  • Building and developing senior relationships with major UK Grocery customers.
  • Driving new listings, distribution gains and range expansion.
  • Creating ambitious customer plans and identifying where the next major growth opportunities sit.
  • Leading commercial negotiations across pricing, promotions, range and terms.
  • Using shopper, category and consumer insight to build compelling customer stories.
  • Working closely with Marketing, Category, NPD and Operations to bring new products and launches successfully into Grocery.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve visibility, activation, trial and repeat.
  • Bringing the customer voice directly into the leadership team and influencing future commercial and innovation strategy.
  • Playing a major role in building a Grocery channel that could look very different again in 2–3 years' time.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who we're looking for

You'll already be a successful National Account Manager or Senior National Account Manager within FMCG, with strong UK Grocery experience.

But just as importantly, you'll want to build something.

We're looking for someone who gets excited by growth, pace and the opportunity to have genuine commercial influence rather than disappearing into a huge corporate structure.

You'll likely have:

  • Strong experience managing major UK Grocery customers.
  • A track record of winning listings and growing distribution.
  • Excellent commercial negotiation skills.
  • Experience developing JBPs and delivering profitable customer growth.
  • Strong category, shopper and commercial thinking.
  • The confidence to operate with senior customers and senior internal stakeholders.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to operate without layers of process around you.
  • The energy and ambition to keep pace with a business experiencing exceptional growth.

Why this one is different

There are plenty of Grocery NAM jobs in the market. This isn't one of the normal ones.

You're joining a business at a genuine inflection point.

It's already reached c.£50m turnover, but still retains the pace, ambition and entrepreneurial mentality of an SME. Retail distribution is expanding rapidly, new listings are landing, the brand is moving into new markets internationally and there's significant headroom still to go after.

You'll be close to the founders and senior leadership team, have genuine ownership of your customers and be able to see the direct impact of the decisions you make.

For somebody currently sitting inside a large FMCG organisation thinking “I'd love to take everything I've learnt and apply it somewhere I can actually make a difference”, this is exactly that opportunity.
