Senior National Account Manager
Lime Talent is partnering with a successful and growing UK food business to hire a Senior National Account Manager who will take ownership of a portfolio of major grocery customers.
This is a genuinely commercial role with responsibility for several strategically important retail accounts (Tesco, Sainsbury's, M&S and Ocado). You’ll own the customer relationships and JBPs, with a clear mandate to deliver profitable growth, increase distribution and strengthen the business’s position within each retailer.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Owning and developing relationships with major UK grocery retailers
- Building and delivering annual Joint Business Plans
- Leading negotiations, range reviews and customer tenders
- Delivering revenue, margin and distribution targets
- Managing trade investment and promotional activity
- Using category and retailer data to build compelling customer stories
- Identifying opportunities for new listings, NPD and wider portfolio growth
- Working closely with Marketing, Category, Supply Chain, Finance and NPD
- Managing forecasting, account profitability and customer performance

It’s a role with plenty of autonomy and would suit somebody who enjoys treating their accounts as their own business rather than simply managing an established plan.
We’re looking for an established FMCG National Account Manager with:
- Strong UK grocery experience
- Direct responsibility for at least one major multiple
- A track record of delivering profitable growth, distribution gains and successful negotiations
- Strong commercial understanding across P&L, trade spend and promotional ROI
- Confidence working with retailer and category data
- The ability to build relationships beyond the buyer across category, supply chain and insight teams

Experience within ambient food or a smaller/challenger-style business would be useful, but isn’t essential.
Package
- c£70,000 base salary
- £6,000 car allowance
- Up to 20% bonus
- 5% employer pension contribution
- 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays

The position is predominantly remote, with regular customer meetings and travel to the company’s HQ.
