Senior National Account Manager – Global Wine Producer – England, 2 days in the Northwest – Up to £65,000 plus car allowance

I am very excited to be working exclusively with this global wine producer who are expanding their team in London. This business has been around for over 300 years and offers an extensive range of still and sparkling, covering varieties such as Chablis, Beaujolais, Rhone and Burgundy (to name a few!).

We are looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Senior National Account Manager to support their Grocery business across the UK for a leading international wine business.

This is a high-impact role with responsibility for driving sustainable, profitable growth across the Top 4 grocery retailers and the wider grocery channel. You will own key customer relationships and be responsible for turning commercial strategy into measurable sales and market growth.

You’ll be joining a business with ambitious plans, a strong international portfolio and a clear focus on winning with customers through great brands, compelling commercial plans and excellent execution.

Company Benefits

  • Competitive package and bonus scheme
  • Fantastic car allowance including 45p per mile allowance.
  • Progression, training and growth from your line manager, one of the leaders in Senior sales.

The Senior National Account Manager responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver the Grocery channel strategy, with a clear focus on driving revenue, volume, distribution and rate of sale.
  • Lead relationships and commercial plans across the Top 4 grocery retailers, alongside a wider portfolio of grocery customers.
  • Develop and execute robust Joint Business Plans (JBPs) that deliver mutual growth for both the customer and the business.
  • Lead annual negotiations, trading terms, pricing and promotional strategy, balancing revenue growth with margin and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to grow distribution, improve rate of sale and maximise the performance of existing brands and products.
  • Lead the commercial process for new product launches, from customer sell-in through to activation and execution in-store and online.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Category, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure plans are commercially compelling and operationally deliverable.
  • Develop customer-specific activation plans that drive visibility, conversion and incremental sales.
  • Analyse customer, category and market data to identify opportunities and translate insight into action.
  • Monitor performance closely, identifying risks and opportunities and taking decisive action to deliver against targets.
  • Build strong, senior-level relationships with buyers and key customer stakeholders.
  • Influence internal stakeholders and ensure customer priorities are aligned with wider business objectives.
  • Champion a growth mindset, continuously looking for new ways to increase distribution, rate of sale, value and profitability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
